ANTs (OTC:ANTS) Expanding to Europe

Shares of ANTs (OTC:ANTS) jumped nearly 20 percent in early trading before giving back some ground by mid-day. Currently the stock is trading up 2 cents at 33 cents per share on heavy volume of 806,000 shares compared to its average daily volume of 581,000 shares. The company has a market cap of $38 million and a 52-week range between $0.26 and $3.25 per share. The company did have fresh news today announcing that one of Europe’s largest and most advanced medical facilities will implement a sophisticated application and database migration strategy with the help of ANTs software.

ANTs Software, IBM and IBM business partner, SuadaSoft, are working together to help the forward-thinking teaching hospital migrate a highly complex and critical application from Sybase ASE 12.5 to IBM DB2 across seven locations. Initial 2010 beta tests and technology evaluation successes are translating into a 2011 deployment of IBM DB2 SQL Skin across the entire enterprise.
