The Hang Seng was down almost one percent, but Australia gained a third of a percent, Shanghai added a half percent and the Nikkei was up a slight fraction. European indexes are mostly lower on the session this morning, with the Dax off by 0.6% and the Footsie down a third of a percent. US stock futures are essentially unchanged as I write.
*The final determination on the payout of CDS on Greek debt will be determined at about 10:30am CDT; it is estimated that it could total $2.5 billion.
*NY Fed boss Dudley is set to speak on the economy at 7:35am CDT.
*The March reading of the NAHB Housing Market Index is due out at 9:00am CDT, it is expected to be up one point on the month to 30.
*The Fed is scheduled to buy Treasuries today that are due to mature between 5/15/20 and 2/15/22; the results of the operation will be announced just after 10:00am CDT.
