GBS (OTCBB:GBS): Aquires Permessa

GBS (OTCBB:GBS): Aquires PermessaGBS Enterprises Inc. (OTCBB:GBSX) has announced that its majority owned subsidiary, GBS Business Software (GBS), a leading provider of IBM Lotus software and Cloud services, the acquisition of Permessa Corporation, a worldwide leader in email and Sametime monitoring, security, and corporate and regulatory policy enforcement. Permessa's extensive analytics, reporting and management solutions for email, Sametime and Domino applications perfectly complement GBS's existing solution portfolio, especially its industry-leading email management, security and productivity capabilities. "By joining forces with GBS, both of our customers will benefit from a broader range of offerings as well as extended support in North America and Europe," says Stefan Mehlhorn, CEO of Permessa, who will be taking an executive position with GBS. "This also allows us to increase our R&D investment in areas of Cloud Computing and mobility where analytics and enforcement tools have been lacking."

The integration strategy relating to the Permessa product lines is to quickly incorporate their solutions into the GBS portfolio in the first half of the year. This will include enhancing some of the existing GBS products by incorporating some of the analytics and reporting capabilities offered by Permessa. Additionally, GBS is actively leveraging many of the new tools available from Permessa to enhance their Transformer and GBS Live products, which allow companies to easily migrate their existing Lotus Notes application to XPages and the web and to create and manage their own private cloud infrastructure.

GBS and Permessa have been serving the Lotus market for more than 15 years. "I could not find a better positioned and run company in the IBM Lotus IM and analytical space as Permessa," stated Joerg Ott, CEO of GBS. "They have great products, people and customer base that fit our vision and innovative culture of creating the future for Lotus products and services."
