Japan in 2009 had nearly $500 million in digital comic book sales while the US had $700 million in traditional comic book sales. Europe also had $500 million in traditional comic book sales in 2009. Mike the Pike (MIKP) has an alliance with Spokefish for its graphic novels that should provide a solid boost in revenues once they establish themselves in the up-and-coming digital comic book sales market.
As recent research shows, 10.5 million people own a dedicated e-reader; one-third of iPad owners also own a Kindle; Last year, U.S. consumers spent close to $1 billion on e-books, according to a report released late 2010 by Forrester. By 2015, e-books will be close to a $3 billion market, projects the research firm.
Marvel comics created an endless category of entertaining and profitable content that has spawned countless comic book series, TV series and hit box office movies. The natural progression is to join the e-book, Amazon Kindle and iPad revolution and resell proven content in a more up-to-date version so, many of our "tech-generation" can enjoy an important part of history with the ease of a keystroke...
