*Stocks were mixed in Asian trade with relatively small net changes on the session. The Nikkei lost 0.6%, the Hang Seng fell 0.4%, and Australia was down a slight fraction, but the Shanghai added 0.2% on the day. Similar action in Europe, with the Dax off a slight fraction and the Footsie up just a bit. US stock futures are up a slight fraction as I write.

*The February reading of Personal Income and Spending is due out at 7:30am CST. Income is expected to be up 0.4% on the month and the estimate for Spending is +0.5%. The monthly reading of the PCE Core inflation measure is forecast to be +0.2% and the annualized rate is expected to be +0.9%. The February reading of Pending Home Sales is due out at 9:00am CST, it is forecast to be unchanged from the month before.

*The Dallas Fed Manufacturing Activity Index is due out at 9:30am CST, it is expected to improve by about one point on the month to 18.4.

*The Fed is scheduled to buy Treasuries today that are due to mature between 3/31/15 and 8/31/16; the results of the operation will be announced just after 10:00am CST.

*There are three Fed speakers on the calendar today, including: Atlanta’s Lockhart at 11:40am CST; Chicago Fed boss Evans at 2:40pm CST and Boston Fedster Rosengren at 5:00pm CST.

*The Treasury plans to sell $35 billion 2 Year Notes today, the results of the auction will be announced just after noon CST.
