CHDT Corporation reported its financial results for the third quarter of 2010 ended September 30, 2010. Results showed an increase in revenue to $3,013,975 for this most recent quarter as compared to $2,424,686 for the year prior quarter, representing an increase of 19.55%. Additionally, profits increased a whopping 11,369% to $130,176 for the third quarter 2010 as compared to $1,135 in the same quarter in 2010.
The CHDT management attributes the increase in revenues, in part, to the placement of its multi-function power failure lights, the “Eco-i-Lite” line of products, into more distribution channels. Since the introduction of the Eco-i-Lites in 2008, gross sales have been in excess of $10 million. Holiday shipments for existing products, coupled with the introduction on the new eBook Lites™ and C-Lites™ have also contributed to the increase in gross revenues. CHDT reported that its backlog of orders has topped $1.6 million through September.
As with many companies (and the majority of OTC companies), CHDT is still operating at a loss, but the increase in revenues did cut into the losses for the year. Cost of sales, of course, increased with the rise in revenues, but gross profits for the quarter did expand from $727,614 in 2009 to $887,592 for this last quarter.
