Shares of Willow Creek Enterprises (OTC:WLOC) hit a new 52-week high today on heavy volume. In mid-day trading, Willow Creek was up 9 percent, or 11 cents, to $1.35 per share on volume of nearly 600,000 shares compared to its average daily volume of only 167,000 shares. Willow Creek has a market cap of $223 million and a 52-week range between $0.74 and $1.35 per share. Last week the company announced that preparations are underway to mobilize a crew for its Nevada Properties.
"In this environment of rising prices and rising demand for gold, silver and copper, we are very eager to commence work at our Nevada properties as we advance them toward our objective of becoming a low-cost producer," stated Terry Fields, President of Willow Creek.
In conjunction with MinQuest Inc. a crew will be mobilized to commence prospecting, sampling, and assess current land claims and the opportunity of increasing the company's mineral claims (weather permitting). Willow Creek has also outlined a plan for Geological Mapping of the areas.
Terry Fields also stated, "This is an exciting time to be a Gold, Silver and Copper resource company. Willow Creek is focused on its mandate of moving its project forward in hopes of becoming a producing gold company. Gold has reached new all-time highs in recent weeks, with highs over $1,400 (U.S.)(Nov 2010). Gold supplies continue to lag behind demand and are expected to decline in coming years. Governments are responding to economic concerns with policies to stimulate growth, while sovereign debt and currency concerns continue to push investors toward gold as a store of wealth and hedge against inflation and currency fluctuations. Governments are also increasing their holdings; India alone is increasing their gold reserves by more than 50 per cent. Willow Creek has positioned itself with three primary resources: Gold, Silver and Copper, that will be critical in all aspects of growth for the future."
Willow Creek is a gold, silver and base metal exploration company with the purpose of evaluating, developing and acquiring gold projects of merit with a focus on the United States, Canada and Mexico. At present, Willow Creek is focused on the exploration and development of its newly acquired Dolly Varden Project, in Nevada, USA. Willow Creek has also compiled a management team that has the knowledge, experience and motivation to find quality properties at different stages of development in order to fulfill their corporate mission.
