Skinny Nutritional Corporation, the maker of Skinny Water®, reported today that Women’s Health magazine has chosen the zero-calorie water as one of the 125 Best Packaged Foods for Women in its November 2010 issue. The magazine has a circulation of over 1.5 million readers and is widely respected as a leader in topics regarding women’s health and fitness.
A panel of four expert nutritionists assembled the list of 125 items after analyzing nearly 50,000 items that can be commonly purchased at a supermarket that can help women maintain a healthy lifestyle and achieve fitness goals. Out of all the items analyzed, only seven beverages made the cut of the experts to be deemed relevant for the list of 125 products.
Skinny Water has been endorsed by Women’s Health Magazine in the past as well. In the May 2009 issue, an article titled “WH Tests It: Weight-loss Waters,” Skinny Water was selected as one of only six beverages to be featured as “making the grade” of Women’s Health. The stock price was in the area of 10 cents at the beginning of that May and saw a 40% spike before settling ahead approximately 25% for that month.
Shares of SKNY actually gapped down from yesterday’s close of $0.045 to open at $0.041, but have recovered to presently be trading up at $0.0465, or an increase of 3.33%, on average volume.
